Animal Kinesiology

Animal Kinesiology 🐾

"Symptoms may grab our attention through unwanted behaviours but they’re often just the surface layer of a much deeper imbalance that needs addressing"

🐾 Traditional Training Often Falls Short Especially for Anxious Animals..........here's why

If we take dogs for example, many dog guardians find themselves attending session after session of training, only to see minimal improvement in their dog's anxiety-driven behaviours. If you have a dog with strong emotions, techniques like distracting them whilst a 'trigger' goes by may offer temporary solutions, but they often fail to address the underlying emotional distress.

Behaviour is a symptom, not the root cause.

Traditional training focuses on modifying outward behaviours without delving into the emotional states driving them. Behaviours are often "relief-seeking behaviours" stemming from an underlying emotional discomfort. Suppressing these behaviours without addressing the root cause can exacerbate the issue.

We need to shift to a more progressive way to help animals on an emotional level, fostering trust and understanding.

There is another contributing factor too.........Animals are the Mirrors of Our Emotions!

Have you ever noticed how your pet seems to know when you're feeling down or stressed? Animals have an incredible ability to reflect our emotions through their behaviour, acting as mirrors to our inner world.

When our pets exhibit undesirable behaviours like anxiety, aggression, or reactivity it's often a reflection of the energy and emotions in their environment. Instead of relying solely on traditional training (which can mask the root issue) we can address these behaviours by looking inward and making energetic and emotional shifts.

This is where kinesiology comes in.

Kinesiology will transform the way we take care of our animals physically, emotionally, and energetically

How Does it Work? 🐾

Kinesiology identifies the root cause of an issue, from unresolved emotions to physical stressors. It helps us understand stresses in the body by highlighting meridians, organs, and muscles holding tension, which can block energy flow and even hinder physical movement.
We already accept that animals respond to stress and trauma both physically and emotionally. Like humans, their nervous systems can become dysregulated resulting in behaviour changes.  Animal kinesiology uses muscle testing and subtle energetic cues to identify imbalances in the animal's nervous system or energy field. It gives us valuable information to help support them.

While it might look mystical, it's essentially a form of biofeedback, the body 'communicating' its state.
Think of the body as an instrument. When it's out of tune, the energy isn’t flowing well. A session helps 'retune' the body so it functions more harmoniously.   It bridges concepts that are already accepted in science and medicine and more subtle energy-based practices.

Whilst traditional training often focuses on 'controlling' external actions, where kinesiology gets to the heart of the issue.

In animal kinesiology we often see measurable changes such as calmer behaviour, improved health, better movement, or quicker recovery after stress. These changes can be tracked even if the mechanism isn’t fully understood yet.

Animals can't fake responses, which makes their reactions to a session even more fascinating!

Why is my approach using kinesiology different? 🐾

Kinesiology connects all the dots, giving you a truly holistic snapshot of your animal’s health and wellbeing. It addresses the whole animal (and you!) — emotionally, physically, and energetically. It's about understanding your animal's unique needs and working collaboratively to create a harmonious relationship.

Through kinesiology, we can identify and release underlying imbalances or stressors held in the body both in ourselves and our animals. By improving the flow of energy and fostering deeper communication, we create something that naturally transforms behaviour.

What can you expect from a private consultation with me?

Consultations can be remotely, online or in person. We'll start by discussing any stress, physical issues, or behaviour concerns you've noticed in your animal reflecting on whether they're due to past trauma or other causes. It will explore the hidden emotions and stressors that are keeping your animal stuck in the same behaviour patterns.  Be it anxiety, reactivity, environmental, food sensitivities, or human emotional mirroring. Identifying where this emotion is held in the body so we can help to release.

Often animals mirror, reflect or amplify our emotions in their behaviour so we'll also explore the emotional connections and life lessons your animal is teaching you. It is a profound experience that many pet guardians find so healing too. As part of the session I will provide you with a detailed report with necessary restorative actions and support for your dog’s behaviour and wellbeing.

Collaboration with Professionals Like Veterinarians,Trainers and Behaviourists 🐾

Just like physical therapy or stress management techniques improve recovery in humans, a kinesiology session supports animals on multiple levels

The beauty of kinesiology is that it I can collaborate with professionals you may already be working with to integrate kinesiology concepts into a comprehensive management plan. I can guide you on the best practices and help you understand specific needs based on your animal’s needs.

By integrating these kinesiology based approaches, you can help anxious animals feel more secure, relaxed, and balanced, improving their overall well-being. Just like physical therapy or stress management techniques improve recovery in humans, a kinesiology session supports animals on multiple levels.

By addressing the bigger picture and focusing on the core emotions, we can help them thrive on every level.
